“ What a wonderful experience! We hosted our 1-year old's first birthday at AJ's last Saturday and couldn't have been happier! The owner Voik went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect, despite recent staff changes, the large number of guests that we invited and the 2 other functions that were being held concurrently... not an easy task for an owner by any means, but Voik ensured that the day was an absolute success and everyone had a great time. He was also extremely generous with platter organisation and pricing to fit our budget, and made contingency plans in case the weather turned bad. I would highly recommend AJ's for anyone wanting to host an outdoor children's party that is safe and secure, feels like home away from home and allows the kids to have good old-fashioned fun kicking a ball around a field or bouncing on a jumping castle. Ample playground equipment and slides/swings etc. are also available for use, as well as a painting station for the older children. All in all, we will most certainly be back, probably to host future parties as well. Thanks also to all of the waiters and waitresses for their efficienct service on the day. ”

Their chocolate tiramisu cake is on another level too , the table next to me commented that their carrot cake was incredible too. ”
“ This is Craighall's best place to watch the rugby, socialise and enjoy some incredible food. They have a incredible food and drink selection, we ordered something of everything. And everything is good. We have great sourdough pizza great chicken strips and great burger. Would 100% recommend for dates, family fun or watching the sport on their 2 projectors. ”
“ What a hidden gem. I went there for the first time today with my kids and I’ve decided to go back for my daughter’s 2nd birthday lunch. I had to drag my kids out of there screaming. The food was yummy for adults, the kids have their own delicious menu and they get to interact with other kids in the spacious playground - there’s painting, tree houses, slides, jumping castle, you name it. I found the variety of the menu good. The restaurant has a rustic outdoor aesthetic. Hate to say it but it’s 100x better than joy jozi for me and the service was great. The owner welcomes you and makes you feel at home. I’ve found a new go-to place for my kids and I will post more pics after the birthday lunch. ”
“ I was invited to a children's birthday party. We were welcomed by one of the owners, Voyk, with a big smile, and I almost felt like I was welcomed into somebody's home. The photos do absolutely no justice to the volume of food served in the platters. The fruit platter was crisp and cold with only the tastiest fruits. The ribs were succulent, and the meat just fell off the bone. The basting was not too sweet, and the volume was spot on. The chicken strips were perfectly fried and still juicy inside, I often find chicken breast dry, but these were amazing. The pregos were well balanced with fresh buns and a generous piece of chicken. The children were constantly entertained with lots to do. The kiddies' play area is clean and well maintained. The slip and slide was one of the highlights for our kids. There was a magic show that the kids loved. There's also painting, for R100 the children can choose a canvas to paint and take home. Overall, it was an amazing day, enjoyed by all, and I can't wait to go back. ”
“ Lovely venue, well situated and perfect for little children. The menu doesn't have much variety but the meal we had was enjoyable. The service was friendly and helpful, although they had to go a few times back to the kitchen to answer questions of the menu, but all around good service. Worth a try if you have kids especially. ”
